 Waitangi Weekend Sunday 5th February 2012. This is a one day family friendly music festival located at Blake Park in Mount Maunganui. Featuring the amazing local Mount boy Stan Walker (winner of Australian Idol) and plenty more great acts. This is family friendly festival, being alcohol free. There will be a variety of home-grown musicians andartists with two stages and non-stop  music and dance from 10:00am-9:00pm.   10th-12th February 2012 Tect Arena at Baypark. First world championship event for the Davis Cup Tie Final, where world class teams will battle it out in mens tennis.

 Tauranga on 2nd– 4th March 2012. The ANZ Championship Pre Season Tournament is being held at the TECT Arena, BayPark, Tauranga. All 10 teams—the five Australian teams - Fever, Thunderbirds, Vixens, Swifts, & Firebirds andthe five New Zealand teams - Steel, Tactix, Pulse, Mystics and Magic will compete over the three days.
